Common Membership Questions!
Q: Are Recovery Services included with the Class Memberships?
A: Our Recovery Services are separate from our Class Memberships, but members can purchase a 4x/month Recovery Add On ($75/month m-t-m, $50/month m-t-m for Students).
Q: How far in advance can I book classes?
A: Mindbody only allows people to book within their current month, though if you are on a 12-month, 4-month, or month-to-month contract, we are happy to reserve spots for you in classes beyond your current month so you can keep your spot in your favorite classes. Reach out to the Front Desk, and they’ll be able to help you!
Q: What is your late cancel policy?
A: You can remove yourself from a roster without penalty up to 8 hours before the start of class. Once inside the 8-hour window, you will be subject to a penalty if you cancel class or do not show up to class. A lot of our classes have waitlists, and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to take the classes they want to attend, so we ask people to please cancel as soon as they know they won’t be able to attend class anymore. Members on a 4x/month or 8x/month membership will lose the class, while Unlimited members will be charged $15. We offer our 12-month members 12 free late cancels/no shows to be used over the course of their 12-month contract and 4 free late cancels/no shows for 4-month contracts. Month-to-month contracts do not receive any free late cancels.
Q: Can I pause my membership?
A: Yes! We offer our 12-month members the opportunity to pause their contracts, no questions asked, for up to a total of 30 days over the life of the contract. Our 4-month members can pause their contracts for up to 14 days over the life of the contract. If you need to pause longer than that, you can pay a pausing fee, which is 25% of your current rate, prorated per month during the pause. Please reach out to us if you need to pause for medical reasons or major life-changing reasons, and we will work to accommodate you.
Q: Can I upgrade and downgrade my membership before the end of my contract?
A: You can always upgrade! Members can always upgrade to a higher number of classes or a longer term before the end of their contract. We do not allow people to downgrade their membership before the end of their contract, though please reach out to us if it is for medical reasons or if there has been a major change in your life.
Q: What happens if I need to cancel my membership before it ends?
A: If you would like to cancel your membership before the term ends, then you will owe 50% of the remaining balance of the value of the contract. All contract terminations are final once completed. Please reach out to us if you need to cancel your membership because you are moving out of the area or need to for medical reasons.
Q: Can I share my membership?
A: Unfortunately, no. All of our packages are only for the client who purchased them and are not transferable to anyone else.
Q: Do I get guest passes?
A: We don’t offer free guest passes, but all members can gift a 50% discounted intro package to a new friend every month (must be someone who has never been to Body Shoppe).
Q: Are there any other perks that come with my membership?
A: Yes! All members receive a 15% discount on retail (excluding food, beverage, and supplements), merch presales, and access to special Members Only classes and events.
