STUDIO

Q: Where are you located?

A: We are located at 4537 Freret St. on the corner of Freret and Cadiz.

Q: What are your hours of operation?

A: Our hours vary throughout the week, but we’ll be here 20 min before the first class of the day and close 30 minutes after our last class.  On Saturdays, we’ll be open until 3pm.

Q: Where should I park?

A: There’s a large parking lot on the corner of Freret and Jena, but if that’s full there’s always street parking on Freret or cross streets.

Q: Do you have lockers?

A: Yes! We have more than enough large, lockable lockers for every class.

Q: Do you have showers?

A: Yes! We have two colorful showers stocked with Ursa Major products.  We’re kind of obsessed with them.

Q: Do you sell food?

A: We currently have a pre/post-workout snacks and drinks available for purchase, as well as smoothies and lattes at our smoothie bar, Shake Shoppe. You can view the menu here!


BEFORE CLASS

Q: How early should I arrive?

A: We suggest arriving at least 10 minutes before class starts so you can get settled, catch up with friends, or make some new ones!  If it’s your first class, try getting here at least 15 minutes early so we can give you the grand tour.

Q: What if I arrive late?

A: We understand that life happens, so don’t worry! We’ll try our best to get you in class if you arrive within 5 minutes of class starting during warm-up.  After that, we can’t guarantee a spot in class for safety reasons and we’ll open up the class to the waitlist. If you are running late, give the Shoppe Squad a call and we will hold your spot for 5 minutes.

Q: What if I need to cancel?

A: We ask that you cancel class at least 12 hours in advance so we can open the class to other students.  If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled class you will forfeit your class if on a class pack or will be charged $15 if you’re an Unlimited member. 

Q: What should I wear?

A: Wear whatever you feel comfortable moving and grooving in! You’re gonna be working hard and it gets warm in the studio, so get ready to leave sweaty.

Q: What kind of shoes should I wear?

A: Most people wear running shoes or cross trainers to our classes. We kindly ask that you not wear your outdoors sneakers in the studio to help us keep it so fresh and so clean, clean.

Q: Do I need to bring water?

A: We’ve got you covered! We have Essentia water for sale at the front desk and a filtered water fountain for your water bottles. 

Q: Do I need to bring a mat?

A: Nope! Just yourself :)

CLASS

Q: What should I expect during a Body Shoppe class?

A: Great music, sweat, and a lot of fun!

Q: What classes do you offer?

A: HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Flex + Flow, Tempo Dance Cardio, HIIT + Flow, and Hard Core.  You can find class descriptions here

Q: Which class is right for me?

A: It really depends on what your goals are.  Our HIIT and Tempo classes will really get your heart rate going, while our Flex + Flow is more focused on strength, flexibility, and mobility.  We’re more than happy to help you figure out what’s right for you. Q: What if I’m new to fitness?

A: Body Shoppe classes are made for everyone, regardless of athletic ability.  All of our exercises can be modified to your comfort level. We just want you to work hard and have fun doing it!

Q: Do your classes use weights?

A: All of our classes incorporate weights or resistance bands in some way, but you will get a great workout with or without weights.

BOOKING CLASS

Q: Where can I find your schedule?

A: You can find our schedule here on our website or using the Mindbody app.  

Q: How do I book a class?

A: You can book class here on our website, using the Mindbody app, or just pop into the Shoppe and say hi!

Q: Are you on ClassPass?

A: We are not currently on ClassPass, but we have a bunch of great packages for all levels of commitment and all budgets!

Q: Can I bring someone under 18 years old?

A:  Of course! Our classes are open to anyone over [age].  A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for all clients under 18 years old.

Q: How does your waitlist policy work?

A: If you opted into receiving communication from us,  you’ll receive either a text or an email notifying you that you have been added to the class.  

Q: Do you offer student discounts?

A: Definitely! Just bring a valid student ID or shoot us an email from your .edu email address and we’ll hook you up.

Can I freeze my membership or package?

All 12 month contracts have the option to freeze their membership for one month. Please see the Shoppe Squad at the front desk to fill out a membership freeze form. We appreciate as much notice as possible prior to freezing =)
